The reason Dean was so protective of the baby was because she is baby darkness! Why did her father wait to tell them the baby’s name until after he was fully infected? Why was the birth so bloody and during the black out? How could the dad resist killing them and manage to ask for the baby? Why would he want the baby back if he had left her with them to protect her in the first place? Why did all those infected road crew members drive the truck to the hospital in the first place? Why did a second set do the same? The infected congregated there looking for the baby. SHE IS DARKNESS.

Dean was told by darkness in the blackout that they would always protect each other because they were bound…I know Dean would normally protect an newborn infant from danger, just as Sam would, but the senselessness of his going out and blasting them to bits was reminiscent of his MOC days, and now I know why.

did no one else notice this during the episode….
like the baby has the mark of cain in the same spot darkness does…
