One of the things I liked most about 11x23 is the way it set out to right the wrongs of the past seasons.
- Mary Winchester is back, undoing the very first fridging of this show.
- Dean admitted that he likes chick flicks, making the ‘no chick flick moments’ quip no longer a manly-man toxic masculinity posturing thing.
- Characters’ choices were respected and validated, instead of judged and questioned.
- Dean and Sam and Cas made choices for the world instead of for themselves.
- Characters talked about their problems instead of perpetuating the cycle of sibling on sibling violence.
Ahhhh. I’m just so happy with this episode and the direction it looks like we’re headed.
