wait hi i was thinking about how dean was absolutely going to confess after “cas i need to say something” and i hadn’t watched the entire scene before but i knew he had a very vulnerable look that was the opposite of relief after cas said he heard his prayer. and of course that could read as discomfort that cas did in fact hear all that but… if he wanted to tell him in that moment anyway why would he have retroactive embarrassment over what he said a few minutes ago? but i was like sure whatever okay i guess it does make sense to read it that way. but i just watched the scene all the way through and none of you told me that after cas walks away dean fucking looks at him like this???

like the camera lingers on that for a moment. it was important that we see him make that face. for why. 15x09 script i want you so fucking BAD
